We're all thrilled to have a beautiful Cardinal in our midst. What a great song they have! Sometimes they're so exuberant they sound like a broken record - I love it!

Aren't cardinals great?

Here in Illinois we of course always have cardinals, and we know spring is on the way when they start carrying on in early March--loudly! Is there a female around? The cardinals in my backyard love sunflower seeds the best. Do you put those out? I think they're cheaper than peanuts. I've used a seed mix that includes sunflower seeds. Nothing like some good oilers. Yum, yum.

Have never tried peanuts.

A little pricey, yes, especially if squirrels are a problem. I think the last 50# bag I bought was around $45.00.
